So many of us have received instructions from God to rest.
When I first received these instructions, I didn't quite understand. God had just handed me a huge assignment and a few months later he was sending word for me to... and I quote... "recline."
HUH?! Recline? Like Netflix and chill recline?
Now I don't know about you... but that just made no sense. You want me to fulfill this assignment and recline. At the same time?
O.
K.
It's now 2 years later and I laugh at that moment. And when I say moment, I mean a year and change. Ha!
To all my emerging glittery friends who are hearing the instruction REST, but may not understand what that means during this time of actively building up their homes, businesses, movements, ministries, etc...
I'm here to pass on a simple phrase that I read in an article written by Joyce Meyer.
I hope it causes your light bulb to pop on:
...the rest of God is not a rest from work, it's a rest in work.
Isn't that beautifully summed up?
So as you continue building your beautiful skyscrapers with God, remember with every brick you lay... to rest in Him.
